OLIVER D. COOKE , Ph.D.

Oliver D. Cooke, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of economics at the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, where he teaches urban and macro economics, and economic history. He also authors the South Jersey Economic Review, a bi-annual electronic journal that focuses on the region’s economy and development. His first book, Rethinking Municipal Privatization, was published last year by Routledge. Prior to joining Stockton’s economics program, Dr. Cooke was employed as a policy analyst at the Fiscal Policy Institute in New York City, where he conducted research on a broad range of issues affecting New York City’s and New York State’s economy. Prior to his graduate work, he worked as an analyst in Deutsche Bank’s Economics & Strategy Group (New York, New York). In that role, he conducted U.S. regional economic research.  Dr. Cooke received his Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and a B.A. in Economics from Trinity College in Hartford, CT.
